KBB’s 5-year Cost to Own Awards of 2013 honors five Ford and Lincoln models! Check them out!

It’s likely no coincidence, but shortly after Ford opened the 2013 selling season by posting a January sales jump of more than 20 percent, the team from Kelley Blue Book selected five Ford products – three from the Ford division and two Lincolns – to receive its “5-Year Cost to Own” Awards. The annual recognition program is based on an evaluation of ownership expenses during the first five years after purchase, and includes factors ranging from fuel costs to insurance premiums to depreciation.

Ford Brings New Energy to the 2014 Fiesta. Introducing celebrity spokesperson Ken Block!

In a dramatic effort to change the perception of Ford Motor Company, Ford is sponsoring millennial race car driver Ken Block with a special performance 2014 Ford Fiesta ST. Ken Block is known as much for his use of social media to interact with friends and fans as he is for driving all out on the race course. Ken is devoted to keeping his Facebook page fresh and for mentioning his sponsors every chance he gets.  Ford is counting on this fresh young tire squealing, doughnut spinning driver to connect with the young target market for the refreshed 2014 Ford Fiesta and performance 2014 Ford Fiesta ST arriving at Future Ford this spring.

Looks like an Aston Martin, Many of the Features of a Mercedes C350. Yes, it’s the redesigned Fusion from Ford.

A commercial showing the new Ford Fusion being driven off a cliff led David Bowhall to visit a dealer last month for a test drive. The owner of four Mercedes-Benzes in the last five years said it wasn’t much of a leap. “Boy, that kind of looks like an Aston Martin,” Bowhall, who designs and installs audio-visual equipment, said of his first impression of the car. The hybrid version that Bowhall, 41, plans to buy has many of the same features as the Mercedes C350 he’s replacing, plus it will almost double the fuel economy of his German luxury car and cost about $17,000 less. The Fusion, redesigned by Ford Motor Co. late last year, has vaulted into the top five models by U.S. sales early in 2013 and is leading a charge by U.S. automakers that are offering the best small and mid-size cars to take on Japan’s in decades.

Mac or Cheese? Ford’s Combination of Performance and Fuel Economy Means Buyers Don’t Have to Choose.

With Ford Motor Company building more smaller and midsize vehicles for millions of empty nesters and younger millennials their challenge is how to capture their attention with advertising. Promoting the theme “and not or” Ford rolls out a new advertising campaign in TV and print next month and run for the rest of the year.

By focusing on individual vehicles such as the Ford Fusion, Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Ford Escape and Ford C-Max crossover with the message of performance “and not or” fuel economy, Ford is hopeful of increasing sales in the “super segment” of vehicles listed above.
